Member Spotlight Lazy Smart Consulting, LLC offers services to enhance client's current web operations through search engine marketing, online partnerships, online advertising, and web site design and development. Lazy Smart aims to transform your organization's web site into a vital and strategic asset to meet your business objectives. Interview with Glennette Clark, Owner, Lazy Smart Consulting, LLC Q: What does it mean to be Lazy Smart? A: Lazy Smart a state of mind - it's a way of working smarter, not harder. Our Lazy Smart clients take the time to plan and strategize, to find the most efficient way to achieve their business goals. Being Lazy Smart means delegating-either to a person or a machine. Q: What is your company's goal? A: Our goal is to make clients aware of the benefits of integrating technology into an organization's overall business strategy. IT strategy and marketing strategy are not opposites; they complement one another. A business should put as much thought into its technology management strategy as it does its business strategy. Q: How did you come up with such a clever name for your company? A: I got the idea at a conference when I heard Bran Ferren, a former Disney Imagineer, talk about the type of people they should look for to work for their organizations. According to a study Ferren sited, there are four types of individuals: lazy dumb, busy dumb, lazy smart, and busy smart. Obviously, no one wants employees from the "dumb" category but which type of "smart" person is best for your organization? Business leaders and managers come from the "lazy smart" category because they have the ability to think, plan, strategize, and delegate, to accomplish more in a shorter amount of time without the need to do it themselves. Bio: Glennette Clark started her professional life in public relations and marketing and has been working in the High Tech field since 1994. She contributed to bringing the first non-profit charity to the web. As the web producer, she brought the BBBOnLine Privacy Seal program on line. Glennette is a graduate of Howard University with a degree in Print Journalism and is an MBA candidate with a concentration in Technology Management. 8.
