Pierrette Ashcroft, Get Organized DC

Get Organized DC is a company dedicated to helping busy business professionals be more productive. We provide hands-on organizing services to help you clear your piles of paper, overloaded inbox and cluttered life so you can be more effective with your business while having more time and energy for family and yourself.


Q: What types of clients do you work with?

A: My typical client is a professional who is overwhelmed with their commitments and responsibilities. Some need to improve their time management skills and others are overloaded with paper. Many spend so much time at work that their homes are in desperate need of organization. I work with them at home or work to set up systems that will save them valuable time and money.

Q: How do you work with clients?

A: I start by defining the problems my client is having. Then I develop a customized action plan to address those issues. Through a hands-on organizing process together we deal with the immediate problem that caused the client to call me. Then I set up systems and teach them new habits to prevent those problems from reoccurring and continue to follow up so that they continue to progress.


Q: What would you say is the biggest challenge your clients face?

A: Busy professional don’t feel they have enough time. I can help them with a variety of projects that take up valuable time such as paper management, decluttering of their home or office, preparing their home for sale, settling them in a new home, improving their time management skills, and gaining control of their email. By using my services and employing the methods I teach them they can regain several hours a week.

Q: What experience do you bring?

A: I have had my own business for 20 years. In 2005 I started Get Organized DC to teach others the skills and techniques that I successfully used to organize my own business and make myself more productive. In 2007 I was in the first group of organizers nationally to receive credentials as a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®), the highest distinction in the organizing industry. I am committed to continuing my education and training and most recently became a Certified Productivity Coach through NAPC.

Q: Do you have a special offer for YES!Circle members?

A: Yes, I am offering members a 10% discount off of my regular hourly rate through 31 March 2010. I always offer vouchers for one-hour of my service for ever referral who becomes a client.
